Bat and Jack o Lantern Treat Holders for Hershey Nuggets

Hi and Happy Tuesday, Crafters!

Glad to see you back again today.  As I told you yesterday, you are going to go batty over these Halloween treat Holders!  See what I mean!:)  How adorable are these?!

Halloween Hershey Nugget HoldersBoth treat holders use the Petite Purse Bigz L Die.  I love how you can get alot of use out of the same die! I KNOW you will want to make these cuties, so let’s get started!

Supply list for the Batty Halloween Treat Holder (will hold 6 Hershey Nuggets):

-4¼ x 5½” Basic Black Cardstock (#121045, $6.95), plus scraps for bat wings.

-Smoky Slate Cardstock (#131202, $6.95).  Small scrap needed for tag.

-Pumpkin Pie Cardstock (#105117, $6.95).  Small scrap needed for tag.

-“Trick or Treat” sentiment from Tags 4 You stamp Set (Wood Mount #131820, $19.95 or Clear Mount #131823, $15.95)

-Jet Black StazOn Ink Pad (#101406, $7.95)

-Petite Purse Bigz L Die (#125606, $32.95).  Lay the Basic Black cardstock on the Die and run thru the Big Shot to cut it into the purse shape.

-Fancy Fan Embossing Folder (#127751, $7.95). Take the cardstock of the purse shape and insert it into the Embossing Folder (line the score line up with the edge of the Embossing Folder-the cardstock is a little bigger so it will hang out of the folder.  Repeat the process so that the whole piece is embossed.)

-Extra Large Oval Punch (#119859, $16.95).  Punch out 2 shapes for the bat wings.

-1¼” Circle Punch (#119861, $15.95).  Punch out 2 circles from the bottom of each of the Extra Large Ovals to make them look like bat wings.

For Purse Assembly:  Fold the die cut shape on the score lines.  Use the Paper Piercing Tool (#126189, $3.95) and the Stampin’ Pierce Mat (#126199, $4.95) to polk a hole in each side of the purse, near the top (to later attach the handles to the purse).  Then apply Tombow Multipurpose Glue (#110755, $3.95) to the outside flaps and press the side of the purse into place.  Hold for about 10 seconds until the glue holds the flap in place.  Repeat on the other side.

For Purse Handle Assembly:  Lay the die cut purse handle down on top of the Stampin Pierce Mat and use the Paper Piercing Tool to poke a hole in the middle of the handle, about 1/2″ up from the bottom.  Repeat on the other end of the handle. Now line up the hole in the handle and the hole your pierced in the purse and use a brad (I used the Silver Glimmer Brads #121003, $4.95 for the bat) to attach the handles to the purse. (experiment to see if you like the handles on the outside or inside of the purse).  I love to show how sparkly the glimmer brads are; so I put them on the outside of the purse!:)

Back of BatTo Decorate:   Attach the bat wings to the back of the purse using Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430, $3.95 for 300).  Use Rhinestones Basic Jewels (#119246, $4.95 for 150 rhinestones) to decorate where the snap on the purse would be.  You will use 3 to decorate the tag.

Trick or Treat TagTo Make the Tag:  Stamp the “Trick or Treat” sentiment onto Smoky Slate cardstock using Jet Black StazOn ink pad.  Punch out using the Label Bracket Punch (#132153, $15.95).  It lines up to perfectly punch out the sentiments from the Tags 4 You stamp set!  Just turn the punch over and insert the stamped cardstock.  Line up the image within the cutting edges of the punch.  Hold in place and punch!  It’s that easy!

Next punch out 1 Label Bracket from Pumpkin Pie cardstock and 1 from Basic Black cardstock (this gives a finished look from the back-see pic above).  You will layer these behind the Smoky Slate punched sentiment using SNAIL adhesive (entire cartridge #104332, $6.95 or the Refill cartridge #104331, $4.50).  Attach the tag onto the handle using Silver 1/8″ Ribbon (#132137, $4.95 for 10 yards)

I can’t wait to see what other Halloween treat holders YOU make using the Petite Purse die!  If  you would like to see other Halloween treat holders, just let me know and I will see if I can do it! How about a ghost? Hmmm!:)

Pumpkin Treat Holders using Petite Purse Die

Happy Monday, Crafters!

Tis the season to begin making those special Halloween treat holders to give to friends, co-workers and to neighbors in the Annual Beloved Boo Basket!  Here is one of the projects that our monthly hostess group made tonight!

Petite Pumpkin PurseThe Petite Pumpkin Purse will hold about 6 Hershey Nuggets.  Here is the supply list to make a few of your very own:

-4¼ x 5½” Tangerine Tango Cardstock* (#111349, $6.95 for a pack of 24 sheets). You will be able to get a small scrap for the hexagon image/sentiment out of the excess pieces after die cutting.

-Small scraps of Old Olive Cardstock* (#100702, $6.95 for 24 sheets). These 2 cardstock colors* come in an assorted Brights package (#131190, $6.95 for 20 sheets: 2 each of the 10 colors, if you prefer.

-Perfectly You hostess stamp set (Wood Mount #131874 or Clear Mount #131877).  This set is free when you have a qualifying hostess order! Contact me so we can chat about this awesome deal!

-Jet Black StazOn Ink (#101406, $7.95)

-Hexagon Punch (#130919, $15.95).  You will punch out the jack-o-lantern image/sentiment.

-Petite Purse Bigz L Die (#125606, $32.95).
