Flowers Using Work of Art Stamp Set

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Artistic Flower Using Work of Art

Recently my friend Kathy sent me a card that I had to show you!  I think she CASEd the card from someone, too.  Anyway, this is genius!  Can you see which 2 images from the Work of Art stamp set were used?

Below is the Work of Art stamp set (Wood Mount #134111, $29.95 or Clear Mount #134114, $21.95) for you to cheat with…I mean peek at!:)

Yes!  Ding! Ding! Ding!  You guessed it!  The circle and the top right swoosh.  I love how the image works for both the flower petal and the leaves.  Some of the images have been stamped off, giving the feeling of depth.

I have used this new stamp set so much already since I received it as a part of the Annual Catalog Sneak Peek event in late April.  This is going to be a very versatile stamp set!  I would love to see what fun, new things you create using it.  Please come back to visit and share your talents with us!

Jennifer

Tri-Color Tuesday with Field Flowers

Happy Tuesday, Crafters!

Today, I am using 3 colors for my Tri-Color Tuesday Challenge.

Field Flowers-EasyThe culprits are: Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive.  I know, these are not colors I would typically use together.  But occasionally, I like to throw caution to the wind!:)  And I hope you do, too!  Not only is it good for the soul, but it also affords us the courage to try new things.

Supplies used:

•Field Flowers Stamp Set (Wood #128583, $24.95 and Clear #122762, $17.95)

Rich Razzleberry Classic Stampin’ Pad (#126950, $5.95)

Pumpkin Pie Classic Stampin’ Pad (#126945, $5.95)

Old Olive Classic Stampin’ Pad (#126953, $5.95)

•8½ x 5½ Pumpkin Pie Cardstock (#105117, $6.95) scored at 4¼

•4 x 5¼ Rich Razzleberry Cardstock (#115316, $6.95)

•3½ x 4¾ Old Olive Cardstock (#100702, $6.95)

•3¼ x 4½ Whisper White Cardstock (#100730, $8.50 for 40 sheets); plus a scrap for the sentiment

Scallop Circle Punch (#118874, $16.95)

•Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430, $3.95 for 150 dots)

First ink up the stem stamp using Old Olive ink  and stamp.  Then ink the lined image flower stamp using Rich Razzleberry ink and stamp.  Clean the stamp.  Then ink the same flower image with Pumpkin Pie ink and stamp again for the lower flower.

Next, ink the sentiment with Rich Razzleberry ink and stamp on Whishper White cardstock.  Holding the punch upside down, look into the punch and line up the sentiment and punch out.  Adhere using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I hope this inspires you to try 3 colors outside of your normal zone!  Leave me a comment below on what 3 colors you tried together!:)

More Note Cards for Summer Travels

Happy Friday, Crafters!

Here’s another day of note cards to put into your 3D Punch Art Camera Box.

Hit the Road Note Cards

These “Road” worthy note cards are made using:

Around the World

Around the World (wood #131080, $23.95 or clear#131083, $17.95) (above)

Here are the other supplies you will need:

•8½ x5 ½” Whisper White Cardstock (#100730, $8.50 for 40 sheets), scored at 4¼”

Basic Black Cardstock (#121045, $6.95 for 24 sheets)

Real Red Classic Stampin’ Pad (#126949, $5.95)

•Epic Day This and That Designer Washi  Tape (#131269, $4.95, 3 rolls, 5 yds each); cut three 1″ strips

•Hexagon Punch (#130919, $15.95)

•Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430, $3.95 for 300 dots)

•Paper Snips (#103579, $9.95)

Assembly is pretty easy from the picture.  But here’s a Trick of the Trade you may not know:  Cutting 1″ strips of Washi tape is pretty easy.  Just remember that it is re-positionable.

1" Washi Tape stripsSo, adhere a length of tape along  your Grid Paper (#130148, $10.95) and then cut into appropriate lengths.  Then just peel off each piece of tape and adhere to your project.

The beauty of Washi Tape is that it can just be torn and added to your project, as is.  But for this “Hit the Road” note card, it is essential that the tape be cut to mimic the center stripe of the road.  If you try to eyeball it, it will look weird.  Ask me how I know that!:)

The other thing that you need to know is that  you must stamp your “hit the road” image onto Whisper White cardstock and then cut it out using Paper Snips.  Make sure you leave a small white border around the image so that it will stand out when matted onto the Basic Black Hexagon punch out.  Then pop up using Stampin’ Dimensionals.Cutting out "Hit the Road"

Good luck in your assembly of the project.  Leave a comment with any questions!

Thanks!

Note Cards for Summer Travels

Hi Crafters!

Today I wanted to show you the Note Cards to send to your family and friends while on your summer travels. Make them ahead of time (don’t forget to apply postage and pre-address the envelopes before you leave!)

Smile Note Cards

I made 2 of these Smile Note Cards using:

Happy Day

the Happy Day Stamp Set (Wood #130294, $21.95 or Clear #130297, $16.95) (above)

 Around the World

and the Around the World (wood #131080, $23.95 or clear#131083, $17.95) (above)

Other Supplies:

•8½ x  5½” Whisper White Cardstock, scored at 4¼” (#100730, $8.50 for 40 sheets)

•3″ of Gingham Garden Designer Washi Tape (Daffodil Delight) (#129314, $4.95 for 3 rolls, 5 yds. each)

Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#119243, $4.95 for 150 jewels)

Daffodil Delight Classic Stampin’ Pad (#126944, $5.95)

StazOn Jet Black Ink Pad (#101406, $7.95) and ink refill (#102566, $4.95)

StazOn Cleaner (#109196, $4.95) cleans off StazOn permanent ink, and Sharpie Marker, too!  Ask me how I know that!:)

Whisper White Medium Envelopes (#107300, $6.50 for 40)

First off, here’s a Trick of the Trade:   I like to mount the 2 camera images on the same clear acrylic block, C (#118486, $6.95)  (if using clear mount stamp set).  Ink it up using StazOn.  And don’t forget to stamp your envelope, too, to give your project a professional look.

Dot the “i” in Smile with a Rhinestone Jewel for the finishing touch!

Check back tomorrow for the second Summer Travel Note Card.

Jennifer
